One Roof has purchased a building at 1819 W. Superior Street in Duluth’s Lincoln Park neighborhood that will become the organization’s permanent home and headquarters.
The purchase marks an important milestone for One Roof and launches a new chapter in the organization’s work to help people attain safe, stable, and affordable housing throughout northeastern Minnesota.
For more than a decade, One Roof has operated from offices in the Central Hillside Community Center. When the organization learned it would need to vacate that space by the end of 2026, it faced an important decision: continue leasing or invest in a permanent home. After careful consideration, One Roof chose ownership, a decision that reflects the same long-term approach that has guided the organization’s housing work for decades.
“For an organization dedicated to helping people attain safe, stable, and affordable homes, creating a permanent home of our own is especially meaningful,” said Jeff Corey, CEO of One Roof. “This new location will be more visible, more accessible, and better designed to serve our clients and support the work we do.”
A Permanent Home for One Roof
The building at 1819 W. Superior Street will serve as a central hub for One Roof’s programs and services while also providing space for client meetings, community collaboration, and housing-focused work throughout the region.
Located in the heart of Lincoln Park, the new headquarters will provide:
- Convenient access with strong transit connections and ample parking
- Accessible and welcoming space for clients and community members
- Room to grow programs, services, and staff
- Space for meetings, collaboration, and community engagement
- A visible and permanent presence in a vibrant Duluth neighborhood
Renovations are already underway to create a welcoming, accessible, and functional space for clients, staff, volunteers, and community partners. One Roof anticipates moving into the building before the start of 2027.
A Home of Our Own Capital Campaign
To support the purchase and renovation of the building, One Roof has launched the A Home of Our Own Capital Campaign, a fundraising effort with a goal of $1.35 million.
Campaign funds will support building acquisition, renovations, technology upgrades, and moving expenses. Once completed, the project will provide a permanent foundation for One Roof’s mission and the work it carries out every day.

A permanent home ensures we remain a steady anchor in our community while strengthening our ability to respond to the housing challenges facing households throughout our region.”
