RentHelpMN & Eviction moratorium Q & A
Thursday, December 2nd: Noon-1:00pm via Zoom
During this virtual session we will briefly review updates to the RentHelpMN program, which requirements are still in place with regard to the statewide eviction moratorium, as well as options that may help landlords avoid filing for eviction. We will then open things up for a Q & A on both topics.
Fair Housing
Wednesday, December 8th, from Noon-1:30pm via Zoom
This virtual workshop will cover all the considerations of Fair Housing that a landlord needs to know. Topics include: marketing units as well as screening prospective tenants; explanation of disparate impact and important HUD rulings to be aware of; reasonable accommodations, including allowing physical alterations to a rental property; important considerations for service animals & companion animals; what happens when a tenant files a fair housing complaint, and much more! This workshop will be led by Roslynn Pedracine, an Investigator with HUD’s Chicago-based Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.
